About Murlidhara Kadaba
Murlidhara Kadaba (Murli) is the Managing Partner at Magnolian Investco LLP (MaGiC) which is a sector agnostic Private Equity firm that co-invests with partners across the globe. He is also the CMD of Moonbeam Capital, a Proprietary VC Firm focused on Luxury, UHNI, Real Estate, Fintech and digital ventures. He is a senior advisor to Reliance and Munjal Group (Hero Cycles) and represents their interests in M&A’s, financial services strategy, International strategy and expansion, funding and restructuring initiatives, and digital strategy. He is a Board member in many new age successful digital firms viz BookMyShow, Yatra, Homeshoppe18, etc., Murli has over 30 years of experience in banking, real estate, payments, loyalty, travel, entertainment, wealth management, Private Equity, Family Office and digital services. He has proven expertise in rapid build out of large scalable businesses, general management, strategy and bizdev, customer insights and analytics, marketing & product development. Before becoming an entrepreneur, he served as the Group President and CEO of Financial Services in Reliance. Prior to this, Murli worked for American Express for eight years where he was the Country Manager for both bank and payment products for India and Area Countries. He was responsible for launching Amex’s consumer banking franchise and several credit cards in India. Earlier, Murli was VP & Head of Investment Products at Citibank-India. Murli has served on the boards of AmCham and Financial Planning Standards Board. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Indian Institute of Learning Management(IILM), is an active member of YPO and a charter member of TiE. Murli is an alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur and is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from SJCE, Mysore.
About Ashutosh Garg
Ashutosh Garg, an MBA has worked in the corporate sector for 25 years. He worked for ITC Limited for 17 years, leaving in 1995 as Managing Director of one of the ITC group companies, based in Singapore. Thereafter he spent 8 years in the aerospace industry. In 2003, the entrepreneurial bug bit him and he started a chain of Health and Beauty Retail outlets under the name Guardian. Guardian is the master franchisee for GNC Live Well in India and is now the leading wellness retailer in India. He exited from Guardian in 2016. He has served on the board as a director of the GAVI, The Vaccine Alliance (www.gavi.org) from 2006 to 2014. A member of the Retail Strategy Council of India, he has also served on the Advisory Council of The Centre for Policy Research and continues to serve on the boards of several companies and educational institutions. In January 1995, he was recognised as a Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum, Switzerland. He is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization since 1994 and a Charter Member of TiE since 2007. He writes on Startups, Entrepreneurship, Work Life Balance and Retirement.
